so, ive been thinking.......why am i running so rich, and then when i go to the track i get crappy times??
i just now remembered that when i put the iat sensor in the charger, i didnt plug it all the way in. now it was snug, so it wasnt coming out, but there was still a little bit of the sensor showing outside the charger. so would that be why im running rich, and slow times at the track? because the iat sensor is reading colder air, so its dumping more fuel? cause its not plugged all the way in? help, i wanna get this running right dammit lol........thanks again guys.....

i dont think so, rich is good with boost, 12.5 or so i nice..... you should see what kind of timing is being pulled... that is probly why its not running so well

having the IAT not all the way in didn't throw a code? when mine was wiggled halfway out of the gromet it was throwing a code.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
That's true, but the computer is already making the mixture rich based on the boost level. If it also thinks it's getting way cooler air than it is, it could end up being way too rich and hurting performance.
The blower REALLY heats up the air so we're not talking about a small difference in temperature here.
mine dosent...

well considering the IAT sensor reads off the very tip of the sensor , if it wasnt in all the way he would have a massize boost leak
as long as there is no boost leak the sensor is in far enough , and will read the boost temp
i wish my a/f said i was rich with mine , ive gotta get some 36lb injectors , and alky injection , before i even think of a pulley change
post your times , that might help with some ideas
best time so far is.....
dont laugh.....

fixed the iat also, didnt have the little metal plate holding it in, so fixed that. noticed that it gets a lil more boost now, but still feels the same. maybe im dreaming lol.......i cant think of anything that would be wrong with the car......would a clogged cat be viable?? or if i do have one should i throw a cel for it?

Kev, your time is only 15-flat cuz you ran on a 90-degree day. Try on a night like tonight (without the rain of course) and you'll be into the 14s no problem.
Getting that 62mm TB will help for sure, you won't run out of breath at the top end as badly. You're launching fairly well, with the 2.1 60-ft...maybe you need to learn how to shift better? lol
I was 14.7 last year (early October) with the stock pulley and stock throttle body.
14.330 @ 96.37mph
If you have a cloged cat it will deff feel sluggish, it is also very dangerous for the motor. Too much back pressure on a blown motor is not good.

Weather permitting, I'm heading to Cayuga next friday so hopefully I'll finally get into the 14's.
i ran a 14.88 @ 92 in 95 degree temps , but it was at night
and mine is a auto trans
ive got a 59mm tb , and header back exhaust , all 2 1/4" with a high flow cat
and i know im having fuel issues , my a/f is mid 13's
