I have a 2200. I am using the cav. connections kit. I am currently running 6 psi. But I want more power from the 6 psi. If I made a larger downpipe how much would that help. The one with the kit is only 2'' o/d. I was think about making one 2'' 1/2. Plus I am using a DSM side mount intercooler and running 2'' Charge pipes as well.
I need some suggestions.
I suggest going 2.5 ID for a DP at least. charge pipes are fine for now and I think an FMIC might help... thats my opinion

yeah that side mount wont do much for ya, deffinetly go the extra mile and get a front mount, a cooler charge makes all the difference in the world. Also, if you have the timing mods and the fuel mods you can use a manuel boost controler to up the psi, the jump from 6 to 10 with an intercooler is amazing.
I plan on getting a FMIC sometime, but for now I think my car feels a little weak because I have a p&p head with all this breathing room, but it cant do nothing with the small down pipe.
So 2'' Charge pipes are ok tho. I really want 2 1/2, but I got these for free so I used them.
Isn't the stock TB 52mm? That's the same size as your 2" charge pipes, so bigger pipes will only take longer to fill, they won't help.

i dunno if a turbo cam would help you with only 6 psi
