SAFC CODE DIODE ???
Monday, October 03, 2005 4:32 PM
I saw a post on Jbody saying that
someone used a diode to eliminate
the code he got from the MAP sensor
after installing his safc.
I'm looking to talk to someone who
has done this to their car so I
can get some info.
Oh and i can't seem to find that thread
anymore so don't say search

I believe it was a resistor- not a diode...

Do a search for "resistor", Im sure you will get better results.

Yes i'm aware of the resistor fix.
However someone else used a resistor
and that seems to be a more logical solution
to me. I just wanted to confirm that someone
had done it and which direction it faced on what
wire.

Thats right its back.
Ok i tried the 330 Ohm
and like a 460 Ohm resistor
Then i also attempted the diode fix.

None of the above worked.
The diode actually created more problems then
before.

Is there something i'm doing wrong withthe setup
any ideas from anyone
