An entire injector setup

ok I have had this question awnsered in variatoin but never to the extent I needed. Now I know that injectors need clips to run that hook up to your ecu but thats all I know. I have a few questions so I put them in list this is the last thing before my fuel setup is done.

1. I know that you need the clips to make it work but every ebay auction I look at for red tops they dont specify if there there. red tops

2. is it possiable to just hook the wires into the holes in the pictures. do they already have the clips?

3. if no were can I find the injector clips?

4. is this all that is needed for injectors to work clips injector harness.

5. and finnaly does anyone have a list of all the injectors that will work for an 03+ rail I have heard of 440's I think there the green tops?

it doesn't look like clips are included
i wouldn't just stick the wires in the holes. bad idea in general.
go to a self serve auto wrecker and pull clips off of one of the 100s of vehicles with the same type of clip. there are only 3 or 4 types of clips, and the bosch style, like those injectors, is WAAAAAAAAAYY more popular than the others.

I bought my Red tops from Sprayitracing.com i beleive the name was on ebay and they were brand new..i spicificly had to ask him to throw in some new clips for them and he charged me like $5.00 more.

If you buy used one's that dont have the clips your gonna have to goto a junkyard and find a old mustang, thunderbird style (89+) with the V8's or turbocharged (Tbird) and cut them off of there injectors. shouldnt be too hard to find.

And I would reconmend changing the rubber O-rings around the injectors on both ends IF there used. so basicly all you need is the injectors with good rubber O-rings on them, the injector clips spliced into your existing wireing harness and plugged into the injector, and the metal slip on clips that hold them on your rail ( these are on each of your old injector ) to make your injetors work.

All ford injectors will work (high imp only) red tops, lime green tops (30lb, 42lb) RC engineer injectors will work (kinda expensive tho) pretty much all bosch style will work. As long as there high impedence.

The green tops(42lb'ers) will definetely fit. They are in my rail as we speak. Those clips to plug in are VERY easy to find and most wreckers will probably give them away. As Deekster said, change your o-rings and put a little oil on them when you put them in the rail to slide them right in.
