I ordered the GM cam blanks over a year ago and sent them to CompCams to have them ground. Not being an engine guru, I explained to my contact there that my car was not boosted or juiced, but a weekend warrior that I wanted to get some more performance out of... They sent the cams back and there was a noticeable pickup (but I installed my ported head AND cams at the same time.)
Fast forward to now:
I have been trying to sell my cams and cam gears to free up some money for other parts... When I sent someone the specs (Gross lift is .423 @ .050 for intake and .419 @ .050 for exhaust. Duration is 204 for intake and 200 for exhaust, both @ .050.), he was told these were specs on a turbo grind on an Eco.
Are these turbo specs?
mmmmmmmm... that's a mild cam. to put it into perspective. the W41 intake cam was 410 lift / 219 duration.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
Mild or not wasn't the question... I assumed these were mild since I never threw a code once...
well... no they aren't necessarily turbo specs. but they are very mild N/A grind.
