i started this to see how many people have autos that are boosted and what problems (if they have any)they had to fix to make it work correctly?
I have one, no problems yet.

shifted how much boost are you running and have you done any mods to your tranny
Sorry to butt in, but I think GHJorge is most interested in boosted Ecotec autos, based upon his other thread...OHV 2.2L LN2's have proven to be more durable due to the engine's lower torque and HP.

well yes i am interested in what the 4t40e tranny can handle i have a 05 sunfire auto that i wanted boosted but i dont think im going to do all the work for a manual so im getting all the boosted auto info i can

I have one, a boosted 2.2 ohc with the 3 speed it has over 140k on it and i N drop it all the time. Nothing has broaken so far but i do have a spare motor and tranny in case something finally decides to let go.
well if you keep n dropping it sonner or later somethings gonna break
I'm gonna have a boosted 3.1 automatic soon. Tehehe. Whoops.
well see jorge there is only 2 boost for your car, the eco 4.3 and the stem9.0 the eco has 8 psitons and a great fuel injection sytme and dont forgot all those horse, and i think that you should buy this. i have it in mine and it works greattttt

Question though..... How are boosted autos on the highway? Are they dogs or can they still get going pretty good?

my boost is on its way...rsm racing stage I s/c kit...its somewhere in the country on a ups truck driving to my house. i've got an auto ecotec cavalier and from all the things other org members have said and done to their auto eco's, i have full confidence that the tranny will hold up. the only thing i plan on doing to it is the autotrans interceptor.

well it still pulls hard, but i can really feel the drop in excelleration at 80MPH, if im ever racing a car thats dead even with me, as soon as i hit 80MPH they all leave me.
And your car is a mid 13 second car compared to my mid to high 14 second car?
