Anybody out there in J-Body land have any tuning tips for the 2.0 turbo motors that they are willing to share? I have an 87 Sunbird Turbo GT convertible that runs great if you punch it from 30 and it has a pretty good mph in the 1/4 mile, but it ET's like a sick dog beacause it has no bottom end torque. I've heard that you can get these into the 14's with some adjustments to the turbo and or wastegate. It runs high 16's low 17's right now, but I know it could do better.

I drove ned's old sunbird to a 13.57 @110 ish on low boost (15psi) with slicks and the 60 ft times sucked balls that night... lowest was like 2.0 flat running 8psi in the slicks....
slap a t3/04 on it.... big front mount, 2.5" charge pipes.... 3.5" dump exhaust...

OH NO Do not megasquirt that car, you will ruin it. For those who don't know the ecu that is that car is also the ecu that was in the Typhoon and Cyclone... you can program the crap out of it.... that's how ned did it. Both sub injectors were run off the stock ecu and kicked in according to various map sensor readings.

It's the wrong application. All the tuning needed is available in the factory ecm. There are more parameters and more code than MS runs, plus there's dissections of factory code, tuning software, and real time tuning hardware available.
With stock turbo, stock pump, stock injectors I'm running about 17 psi boost in my lil Sunbird. Until I made the chage to a 3 bar MAP sensor I was at 12 psi. I did that for roughly 2 or 3 years.
The stock code can control boost, will alter timing and fuel with boost, will even drop boost if it senses knock and doesn't think spark retard will solve the problem. MS doesn't do that.
MS is good, but it's not needed to get more performance from the 1227749.
