FMU & Fuel ?'s
Wednesday, September 14, 2005 6:46 PM
First off i am building a turbo kit for a 98' 2200 and i am wondering what the best fuel setup would be for me to run if i was going to run 8 PSI on stock internals with aT3 turbo with .42ar intake and .48ar exhaust. I was thinking about just running an FMU with stock injectors but don't know if this would work right and if it did for how long it would work right. I was also thinking about switching to Z24 injectors with and FMU. I also want to know what size FMU i should use if I go this route (6:1 - 8:1 - 10:1 - 12:1) Please give me some insight on this, I am a Boost Newb so take it easy on me!

I was also wondering if 95' Z24 injectors (i'm referring to the 2.3 HO motor) Would work in my car with a AFPR. I heard that those injectors are 26 Lb/hr (please correct me if wrong) I want to run somewhere between 6-8 PSI on stock internals. If i just ran 6 PSI could i get away with running stock injectors with an AFPR.

well if they are going in your 2200 you could get away with stock Z24 injectors, which are 24# injectors. They'd be probably easier to get ahold of than HO injectors

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

Went to one of the local pull-a-part junkyards today and found lots of cars with the 2.4 motors still in them i also found a couple of cars with the 2.3 motors still in them.

i also foung a company here that will completely rebuild fuel injectors and even turn up the flow rate of them for like $15 - $20 each injector ( is this a good price for this service)

i might go back to the yard and get some more injectors and sell them, so if anybody is interested in them let me know .
