has anyone ever taken a 2.2l saab eco turbo off and but it in a j? it would be much cheaper to get one of these setups. someone sold some new kits online for like 600. i know the psi isnt as high as i would like...but still. its also a direct bolt on, i would just need a downpipe.
has anyone ever done it? and where can i get one of these setups new...a saab dealership??
thanks,
..

I would also like to know. A Exaust manifold from one of these would work for my eco right? Maybe i should goto a junk yard and get one.. Maybe actully put my turbo in!
Searching would have answered this pretty quick, you can do it but it requires just as much fabrication as a custom turbo kit minus buying a manifold, with the saab manifold your going to need the saab turbo or a turbo with the same flange style because its not a T3 style flange.
I mighta missed something so anyone else can feel free to add.

i actually just helped install one on a 2.2
it took about 2 days and a welder and some pipe.
it bolts on....thats the easy part.
the downpipe has to be a drastic 90degree due to its location and cooling lines.
you cant clock the turbo or the wastegate wont work.
the kit is hitting 10-12 psi daily driven/no intercooler.
i dont have any pics but look up
brandonson
he is the one who has it.
or look on
azjbo.org in the performance section....he was a lil info on it...no pics as of yet though

I got mine sitting underneath my bed, can't wait till next year to put it in. But yea direct bolt on....the only hard part is finding a DP. Stock DP from Saab will run you in the thousands, you'll have to have it custom made. Good luck with finding one ....
12 psi non-intercooled? Hello detonation.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

Not really, I think you should be saying......Hello 13's
Actually its hitting about 10psi max. It may have spiked 11-12 once or twice but most the time it is between 8-10psi.
It runs good, pulls strong. I am intercooling it very soon.
you can vew some pictures here.
