boost and hesitation

got the car back today, just ifnished up some small things nad went for a road test, 2 hours ago, lol. evrything was going good, the car wsa missing a little at the initial setup but i played around a bit and worked things out. i noticed that she was getting hot, running lean, my modified air fuel guage doesnt seem to wanna tell me whats going on so i just used the safc for confirmation. and from what i see its lean. now heres a possible problem, my o2 isnt as close to the turbo as id like it to be meaning that its gonna read a little off, hopefully that makes some sense lol. so i played with the fmu, the car runs alot of fuel pressure, about 75 psi at about 4 pounds of boost and kicks hard, like hitting a wall, so i turn the pressure down and it runs fine, still has the odd sputter but it seems to be running lean still, the temp guage goes up a bit, so either i have an air pocket stuck in system somewhere or i need some more fuel, which results in the car running like @!#$. any input n this woul dbe great.

oh and i had to go and pick on someone, so it was too younger kids in a newer grand am gt, v6 auto, yeah i know, ive beten them on the motor but i had to try this out. so i roll up next to them with my buddy in the car and i give her some hell from a rol and show him i wanna play, so then i let off and he flys past me. we hit up a light and i look over and ask if hes ever been buslengthed by a cavalier, he laughs and says no, so i tell him he;s about to be. and well, i wasnt lieing, you could have parked a fleet of buses between us by about 140 kph, lol

are your plugs gapped properly? and also, you don't want your o2 sensor getting TOO close to the turbo.

How did you see that you were running lean with your SAFC?

ive got my safc spare sensor wire tied into my o2 sensor, it gives me the voltage and from there you can figure out what your sitting at. its not too close but a bit fursther than id like it to be. i think my problem is my ho injectors, theyre cutting out under high fuel settings, so if anyone has a set of ford brown tops, i need some

i know when i installed my venom n02 kit i was missing like crazy because i was making such high compression that the spark would get blown out, i gapped the pluggs to 0.30 and im running perfect. was 0.50 (i think) cause thats what the gm s/c needed.

yeah im glad i figured out th problem before it was too late, im running a 2 step clder plug from ac delco thats gapped to .035.

the problem withthe brown tops is that they dump so much gas that the car stumbles all over itself, right now im sitting at something like 15% lean onthe safc throughout the powerband for th elow settig jt to hkeep it from heesitating under non boost acceleration, and at idle its sitting at 8%, was alot lower but 8 is keeping it from stalling, which it started doing today but only once it gets hot. so i threw some injector cleaner into the tank and ill see how that goes. although i found playing withthe idle rpm setting on the safc that the car does respond and it shows in the way its idling, not always a good response but its there, lol.

other than that, at the current boost setting she pulls like a raped ape
