RSM supercharger for 2200?
Thursday, September 08, 2005 7:03 PM
I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with the RSM supercharger kit for the 2200. Does the kit come complete with everything needed for the install? I have an extra 2200 that I'm in the process of putting forged internals in and would like some more power now that I have some decent looks. I'm just looking for some input on this subject to see where I should go.

Thanks in advance,
-Paul

I think that your car will put down more power with turbo than the RSM blower.

275hp & 306tq - 1999 2.2 ohv
13.2 @ 108 mph
-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power
-2000 Mustang GT + 2004 Cobra motor, Whipple 2.3 supercharger,
built rear-end,Dodge Viper spec T56 6 speed, bolt-ons = wheelies at the track!!!!!

yeah bc those blowers go up to only 10psi from wut the site says and ur on limited options with it...go turbo more options and basically no limits to boost except for wut the engine can handle...

i had the rsm supercharger on my 2200. nice kit, smooth install, hardest part is doing the oil line from the oil pressure switch.

as far as i saw with my supercharger, i regularly hit 9-10 psi. the blower itself is capable of 15-16psi. rsm told me they could make a new pulley for it to bump up the power. the only down fall to their kit is it needs an alky injection kit.... my supercharger use to get fukin hot!!!!! getting the oilcooler helped but it needs to be cool alot...... also you should wrap your exhaust manifold, or header because it will contribute a great deal of heat to the supercharger.

good kit, produces power at like 2000rpm,

now on to otherthings about it i didn't like,,,,,,, until i got to like 3psi the car was slugish, and since i had an auto 4 speed, it sucked when i got into 3rd at 69mph, once i got to 78 it climbed right up to 108.

manual i would say is the best option

but if you got internals i recommend rsm kit + alky cooling kit, you should be putting down way more than i did
