it is much more efficient to run one turbo.....usually very hard to make good power with twin turbo's...alot of supra guys looking to make serious power go to single turbo setups.. in my opinion, single is better for power and efficiency.... i would not recomend going with twins. u will have a hard enough time trying to get one tuned properly..good luck
there's virtually no point in a sequential TT setup on a 4 cylinder. enjoy one turbo that is sized properly and you'll have more fun.

lol you are definitely a boost noob. go to Borders and pick up Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. Read it cover to cover multiple times.

Actually twins are more efficiant on a "v" motor while singles work better on an "i" motor and rotarys.
neither of which came in a cavy. so my question is why?

i have ridden in a 1400 hp Skyline... it's an I motor and it has 2 turbos... ok so they are 2 very large turbos, but there's still 2 of them lol

I prefer single turbo... went for a ride in a twin turbo Grand National... didnt like it as much as our single turbo gnx.... and the gnx makes way way way more power then the twin turbo GN too...

basically just gtfo.

plus theres so little room to fit a set of twins on the 2.4, just a single turbo is a tight squeeze once you get the piping involved

i hear you could ran a small turbo to help spinool up a larger one. basic to reduce lag. that is what i hear.
dunno if anyone ever knew this but i have a link on TurboSaturns.net wheere guy actaulyl did a twin turbo setup on his SL2, looked pretty badass! if anyone cares i'll gladly post up a link!

yeah the 2.4 is a tight squeeze, getting everything to fit is a pita with one turbo let alone two. using one moderatly sized unit you can still get it tpo spool u pat a good rpm and itll make good top end power

that saturn engine is amazing! quite the fab job....i've never seen anything like it.

you heard right. its called sequential twin turbos. the system uses one small turbo and one larger turbo. there's a valve in the exhaust manifold that only allows exhaust to flow to the smaller turbo. then at a certain boost level the valve opens and allows the exhaust to flow to the larger turbo. the small one spools very quick for power of the line at low rpms, and then the larger one kicks in for high rpms where the small one would fall on its face.

or you could do a 35 wet shot, it'd be cheaper and a hell of a lot easier.

If you get the right size turbo there is no need for dual... you just dont go to big or to small... like most of these cars now adays with turbos spool at like 2500rpm... and thats not even a dual ball bearing turbo..

yeah he know all of this, he just wanted to be the first to ever do it.

you could do it... but it would be retarded. gm reached over 1400hp with a single turbo on the ecotec engine. a twin turbo setup is only truly practical on a v8, in my opinion.. where you could put one turbo after each exhaust manifold. and even then, only if you want to be making rediculous amounts of power.

If a twin turbo 4 cylinder was any good then it would have already been done. k bye.
