Which Turbo Timer?
Sunday, September 04, 2005 5:46 PM
I guess this isn't really a big deal type of question, just getting down to the last things i need for the turbo and I know that the timer isn't an neccesity but its a plus that i'd like to have.

My question
Which turbo timer do you have? How do you like it? How much did you spend if you don't mind me asking (if you don't want to say just skip this question please)?
Where did you get it from? How hard was it to install(was there a harness for our cars or did you have to hard wire it)
Thanks

I have a greddy I got off ebay. Was under $80 shipped. I like it, does what its supposed to and it lights up red or blue. Has an optional input for speed signal to do a bunch of other crap I dont care about.

No harness for my car (96 grand am), very easy to install. One wire to constant 12 volt, two wires to ignition, one wire to ground, one wire to parking brake.

Id recommend it

we used the Greddy full auto timer on our turbo sedan project car. in addition to the shutoff delay (which you can set from 30 seconds to 9 minutes) it has the VSS option, displayed in KM/H, speed warnings so you can have it warn you once you reach a certain speed, and a TON of cool features. It's the best timer on the market in my opinion.
