Hey guys, if you wanted to use nitrous oxide to spool a turbo quicker where do you place the nitrous supply nozzle? Would it go in the intake tube before the turbo compressor, or after the turbo in the intake tube roughly 12-18 nches before the throttle body? Just curious, that's all. Thanks for any info, Paul Moore

i would say just like normal. its the exhuast pressure that spools the turbo. i might be wrong. just my .02

what size turbo is this for? And unless it is a massive one you dont need it and are just risking your motor. But back to the subject. you spray it in the normal location for n2o and it causes the engine to rev quicker which in turn makes your turbo spool faster. The only place I would spray would be on the intercooler or right after the turbo to cool the charge temp but not jeopordize the motor. like a 30 shot or something.

I'm probably going to either be using a GT30R or TO4E ball bearing turbo. With my setup, I'm hoping for a maximum of 25 PSI but the turbo won't spool up until about 3000 RPM.

id go 2 to 6 inches before the the tb, like the nitorus kit installation instructions say

You should never spray at any lower engine speed than 3000rpm in the first place. The only time N2O should be used to help spool a turbo is for motors that are running such large turbos that without N2O they would not spool below 5000 rpms.
Back to the original questions....
On a turbocharged motor the nozzle should be installed the same as on a n/a motor, just before the throttle body. If it is just being used just to aid turbo spool it should be ran off of a pressure switch so when the desired boost pressure it reached the N2O is disarmed. Again, just like on a n/a motor it is a bad idea to spray at any engine speed slower than 3000rpm.

hes 100% right.. im at full boost at 3k.. once your going out of 1st anyway. im always at 8psi... it doesnt drop. if u try to spray nitrous under 3k rpms in 1st gear.. lol your just gonna spin anyway and probably hit the rev limiter.
I love your turbo man. lol ^^^ amazing.

WTF
do you have anything to keep from getting cats and small children in there. btw what size is it.

If the set-up is going into your auto 2.0 2nd gen, having a higher stall torque converter would be a better option.
For drag racing adding a trans brake would help even more, along with a programmable DIS-2 to retard the timing while on the trans brake. It will build heat in the manifold and turbo.

Small children I have a net for.... I made sure cats still can slip past the net.
All the specs for my turbo are in my registry. It was a complete custom build up from a bare center section.
