installed safc...BIG problems now...help!
Saturday, September 03, 2005 11:07 AM
My car has 550cc injectors...yes i know a little big, but for the numbers I want and the boost I want i need them. But anyway car idled really rough and barely drove cause it was so rich. Installed safc...now the car starts up for a couple seconds but runs really rough and then just shuts off. almost like its out of fuel...or too much fuel? i am playing around with different fuel pressures but it wont even stay running for a minute now. my safc is set at 0% correction. Any idea's??? My car will not even stay running now...before it ran, but really rich. Also when it does start up and as soon as i touch the gas it kills also. any ideas??? please help me!

btw... its set at 5in 5out, 4cyl arrow up and right, +/-30%, 8000 rpms. the weird thing is that it ran but really rich. Then i started to set the low settings and now it wont stay running...even after i put it back at 0% correction. wtf?

Hmm, well im running 525CC injectors, way to big aswell, and i have to have it set clear down at like -40% at idle. However when i get into high RPMs the car starts chugging on me a little, despite of the correction. It runs a little better at -50%, but i really think im getting detonation at that point. Any way hope this helps.

i heard anything over 440cc on just afc and fmu (i assume) is way to big to tune. i got 370's running 9psi and i am at -43% at idle and 24-26 psi of fuel pressure at idle... and it still cold starts at 10.7:1 afr.

thats your problem, set it to 2cyl NOT 4 [this corrects the RPM read out]

also you might have to play with the 5in 5out seting to where it wont idle rough or want to cut off.
