Simple fact, a turbo will always make more power at the same boost level that a supercharger due to the fact that it takes hp from the motor to spin the supercharger.

And, if the turbo is intercooled (as I'm sure just about all of 'em are), the charge will be more dense than from the s/c, which will make more power.

mainly because only women use super chargers.

but there are advangates. if you have a supercharger at 10lbs and a TC at 10lbs. on a autocross teh SC will spank the TC due to lag.

not if you get a properly sized turbo which peaks boost at 4000 rpm, isn't autocross all about high rpms ? then there would be no lag problem.

yeah I was debating weather or not to put that but really to properly sisze a turbo you need to have your exhasut and compressor housing custom made along with a few other things a custom built turbo is upwards of 1000 which is more money then most boosters on hear are willimn to spend.

you dont have to custom do all this. you can just ask people around at what rpm their turbo setup spools, and deduce which size turbo you want.

lag with a turbo? like said above, choose the right one. I see boost at 1500rpm with my 2.3. Size it right and you'll be fine.

s/c porting would be nice. if u look down into the s/c that opening is small. I found a company that will port the s/c but not sure if i am going to go through with it.

ahh but yout missing the most important part. Differnt ebinges at different locations with different weather mods etc.... you get the idea will act differently. Because I live in PA means my turbo will spool and act differnetly then other ones. but for the most part your right.
