has anyone blown the ecotec coil packs under boost

in a month, i have blown 2 of the valve cover coil packs to where they only run on 2 cylinders. i used to have the msd dis 2 and plug wires, but i took it off so i never ran more energy thru the coil packs than what stock offers. Im not sure if running boost has anything to do with it. it seems to me that all it does is spark the plugs so like i said before, i dont think boost would have anything to do with it. any suggestions?

Boost is not going to blow up the coil packs. I know a car that was boosting 16-17 psi on the stock coil packs for a year and nor problems. Maybe a grounding issue somewhere. Maybe the plugs as well.

How is your charge pipe run? A guy I know said he blew his coil pack becasue of the ehat from his charge pipe. His charge pipe was running across the back of the engine almosr right over the coil pack. I don't know how credable this is but heat and electronics do not mix.
