What is this and is it safe to remove?

Well i was about to just rip it off but someone gave me a thought that it might be an airbag sensor or something to do with the airbags so i didnt want to rip it off and the airbags go off. so can you help me?

the air bag sensor is attached to the hood latch bracket , and will have a yellow harness going into it


im not sure what that is either , did you buy the car used ?

Hmm maybe something for toll plaza's kinda like a EZ Pass type kinda thing? just a thought!

I'd leave it. Maybe you can go through toll booths and have it charged to someone else.

^^^ Haha thats what I was thinking, go through a toll and see what happens.. But if the previous owner was smart they woulda had it deactivated, If not whats the worst that can happen you get a fine? lol

That there would be your standard Mark 4 Dilithium Crystal containment cell. Adds at least 10 Hp at the wheels. roll
Looks like the same type of box I ripped out of the inside of mine. Only I think mine was only a mark 3.
