I was told by one person on this forum that the AEM alt pulley will work with the GM sSC kit, who was it and how the f did they do it. I got the kit installed and now I am going to have to take it all apart again and waste another 10 hrs on this. Is there any bigger belt I can buy to save myself the agony????
The AEM pulley is too big so i cant get the belt on, I NEED HELP ASAP!

Underdrive pulleys and an S/C?
The AEM pulley only underdrives the alternator.
You will probably need a bigger belt because you're now using a bigger alternator pulley.

Just take the belt you have (and the number on it) go to autozone and say you need one an inch bigger... thats what I did when I put an underdrive pulley on my 3100 grand am... worked great.
Yea, the belt thing wont work autozone, nuway and advanced have no clue on that stuff. I asked about the next size up and they couldnt tell me. I mean, they didnt even know what car the 10 rib belt even came off of.
Anyways yes I am only running the AEM alt pulley, but not anymore I am putting the stock one back on and the blower is going back on after work tomorrow. I think I can get the whole thing installed in 1.5 hrs, I can practically do it eyes shut. I just am wondering how it will run with fuel pressure 55psi, 320cc injectors, colder plugs and 41K motor. I hope it runs okay, it should run better when I put in the FMU and the SAFC 2 but until then I hope she runs okay.

do this.
measure your current belt, add 1" to it, go back to autozone and tell them that you need a 55" (or what ever it is) size belt with that rib cage, they should have it! [thats what my local autozone told me to do at one time]
the s/c belt is a rare item........ normaly a 10 rib unit, its not usually found "in stock" at any parts store. Cant even tell ya IF they make a bigger belt......
You could put a smaller pulley on the S/C and you'd probably be able to fit the belt w/ the stock belt (which is what I think the guy said he had, one he said the belt fit over his AEM alt. pulley.)

Okay well I got the pulley changed and put it back on, now I hope the belt fits. I have the gator back belt that was 22.84 at autozone and cut in in half, hopefully she will fit now. Am I right will the belt fit now on a bone stock car with the 2.7 pulley? PLease tell me it will
