I have a 98 z24, and i will be getting like $3000 (usd) here shortly. I wan to put together a turbo kit for my ride, but wanted to see what everyone though was the best bang for buck! I have unorthodox crank and aem alt. pulleys, aem intake, catback, and a short throw. Assuming i do all the labor, what would be best to spend my $ on?

Throw a 100 shot of nitrous on it and save the other 2,400 for a rainy day.

Do you know about turbo parts and how to install them ? Because if you do you're better off building up your own custom kit for way less than say a hahn's or cav connections kit. If you don't know about turbo parts then you're better off not doing the labor on it, it's not like installing an intake or muffler.

i didnt know to much on turboin...but i just looked around on peoples mod lists that were turbo'd and looked...you can do it then on install i had my dads friend who owns a garage help me so at the same time i learned. but theres many little things ull need trust i found that out the hard way...and you wanna do it right the first time...but heres my list it may not be everything cuz i have alot of little stuff to

310cc Rc injectors
garett T3 super 60
braided hoses
johnny race car 6" FMIC
Charge pipes
silicone couplers with clamps (get the good clamps not the cheap 90 cent ones)
jet AFPR (didnt need on 310's idles fine)
HKS SSQBOV
Apexi Safc-2
procharger FMU (awesome if neone wants info on)
Tial wastegate (8.5 spring)
blazer fuel pump
gagues (boost, EGT, Oil pressure, innotive wide band from Karo)

custom intake (get an itake good for the turbo but at the same time made my turbo spool like no other, ill try to get a clip up soon)

mods i had earlier: intake, magnaflow exhaust, Short throw shifter, body kit rims
everyone says 310's are to small but they arent dont get to large if your runnin 9psi ur fine cuz then ull have a rough idle...i have an fmu and pump we tried a tune at 10psi for sh^&'s and giggle and i was runnin outs of fuel up high but at my 8.5 im fine and i still have alil play room for 9psi trust me everyone said go larger you dont need to spend the money and lose a good idle. an im alil over 3g's but im doin a professional tune too so thats that i guess hope i helped you out somewhat

I meant that someone experienced would help me but that i wouldnt have to pay. But as far as pre put together kits, it looks like maximumboost has by far the best bang for the buck, but how much would i save if i assembled my own kit?

Well best bang for your buck would to buy Mike's kit he has up for sell for 2500 bucks. Also you can get his RC injectors for 100 more bucks too. He has a JMTS that is a good setup and everything works and is still on his car for now.
