Hey guys, (sorry for being a post whore!)
I got one with my kit. pn 4100729 or metric 10pk1851. I cross checked it at goodyears site and a stock belt is 4050475, 5pk1205. But have no way of checking to see if this is the right one for our s/c application. Anybody else using one or know if this is the right length/part number?

Hey,
Bought the kit used, and i guess the guy before me was using the gatorback. Stock s/c belt number is 88960481. The gatorback one is pn 4100729 or metric 10pk1851. Want to make sure its the right size.

My kit came with the Gatorback belt.
I seem to recall reading here that people had issues with the belts that originally came with the kit. Then GM switched to the Goodyear belts.
thats a wierd size but good move going to the gatorback, i love both of mine

ELIOT. Now.....boosted.
yep gator back belt is awesome.
there is a post that has a part # for a 10 rib belt that is cheaper. you just have to cut it in half. i heard it beats paying what GM wants to charge you for a belt.
how in the world did u get that damn gatorback belt on? it is at least an inch too short for me.

i checked the part numbers again and it is the correct 4100729, but i dont understand how everyone else got theirs on. it is REALLY short, like it just barely makes it around the axis of the pulley, much less is it ever going to make it around the actual damn pulley. there has to be a trick or something or im not doing it right. i was first trying to slip it over the tensioner, and then over the idler, but no matter what, its just rediculously short.

i think it probably was kinked somewhere the first two times i did it because of the way it was packaged, finally the third (well, fourth) time was a charm. whew!
