Spark plug gap for GM SC

Yup... still having pinging issues. Upping the fuel pressure solved the lean issue to a certain extent... it's no longer setting the CEL. But the P0171 code is "pending" so the car still goes to limp mode and kicks on the fan.. if I clear it, it's fine... until it comes back. Usually I hear pinging if I'm in a higher gear and gun it, but it pings LOUD. If I downshift and have the rpms up high when I goose it, it's fine.

So yeah... I have the plugs set at 0.050", as stated in the install book. What do you peeps have 'em gapped to??

Hey John, I have the AC Delco rapid fire #5's at around .035-.040. Never heard my car ping since the install but it doesn't have the stock exhaust sytem either, a little loud! Good Luck.

0.050 and running beautifully. Since Aug of last year I only had 2 flashing CEL.
Like 2 months ago I put the RKS boots to prevent this from ever happening again. Still running excellent.

I have stock range Champion copper Plugs gapped to .030 and new boots from the auto store, runs like a champ, no blinking CEL after a hard run. This is with 9 psi from a good sized turbo.

lol......... I hate parts place employies..... they don't know an oil filter from a butt plug. And this is from someone that used to work for AutoZone at one point in my life.

I usually look up the parts myself........... and if I can't I dont leave till I get what I came in there for.

Eric...... I have a set of plugs you can try out.
