Whats the maximum amount of boost a stock 2.2 can handle if any? What internals should be upgraded to alleviate the problem?
Whats the 2.2l model number?
(i know the last question has nothing to do with boost but i know u know)
depends on how well the motor was broken in and what fuel mods you have done. with a 96 LN2 there are no aftermarket injectors. you have to run an EIC system or convert your fuel rail to topfeed injectors in order to get higher flow injectors. you can get pumps and FPR's and all that. it can take about 8 psi bone stock, and about 6 psi on stock fuel system. internals? well start with pistons (have to be custom made) and rods, just read around in this forum, check out the boost FAQ.

how would one convert their fuel rail to topfeed? Where can i get the custom pistons?

converting the fuel rail is more work than running an EIC system. I haven't made up my mind on which to do yet either. It involves drilling, machine work, wiring, etc. Do a search for it and you'll get some results. I have seen a couple people finish theirs recently and pictures were included. You can get the custom pistons from JBP: http://www.jbodyperformance.com or you can get them from Flatlander Racing at http://www.flatlanderracing.com. JBP would be cheaper and have more knowledge of what you are looking for as well as suggestions because that is all they do is J-bodies.

I tried searching and could not find anything, if anyone ahs done this or knows of where i can find info about converting the fuel rail, please lemme know, im trying to consider whether it would be worth it to build up an LN2 block, or whether the swap toa 2200 would be better,
