isnt water bad for your engine? lol, i mean i would think that it would evaporate before it even got close but.......

and i know that alky isnt supposed to corrode the teflon on the blower, but at the bash the gm tech said it would.

but maybe i just wanna know who makes a KIT for our cars, so i wouldn't have to cut and all that crap to make it fit. idk lol.......

A GM tech also told me there's no GM SC for the 2.4 and none planned for the 2.2 eco.

well now all i want to know is if they make a kit that is direct bolt on besides welding the injector in the metal tube.

the coolingmist setup you drill a hole just before the tb and mount their injector.. no welding needed... ill try to post pics later if you want

dont listen to the GM people at the bash. Them are people that probably Gm doesnt want to hire but they have to , so they stuck them in some tent in the middle of summer to babble at people.

i have my cooling mist injector on the 90degree bend in the intake. I cut a hole in the rubber elbow and jammed it in there with a washer too in place. so it basically doesnt interupt the air flow at all. I would recomend some black glue around the injector so it dont get sucked into the s/c. ( note to self to put some on) I doubt that would ever happen as that hose that connects to it wont budge and my injector dont budge a bit. that glue might be a pain if u have to remove the injector for some reason, but i am not concerned about it as of now.

the kit isnt a direct bolt on, u have to get some longer self tapping screws to mount the pump and tank( i mounted both mine in the trunk). some extra wire. maybe a toggle switch to turn the set up on and off. just spend a little time at a hardware store and u will get what u need. Also take your time, follow the wiring instructions and think a little and it will be fine.

what boost switch u going to get? what PSI are you running with gm s/c? i run the stock pully and i recommend the 1-4 psi switch.

need anything just holler

well im planning on running the 8psi pulley.
boost switch? you mean like a microswitch mounted on the t/b? idk how those are hooked up, but i can prolly figure it out.
thanks guys

ok, now that ive looked at the coolingmist setup i think im going to run that. would the deluxe single stage kit be a good choice for the 8psi im planning on running? and what extras would i have to get, i was thinking the water filter, but if i distilled water would i need that? and also the tank of course, 1 gallon.....how long does a 1 gallon tank usually last?

one gallon tank will last a long time

water filter- i dont have one

extras= some odds and ends like little more wire, and screws to mount the pump/ tank.

i just used some 2 or 3 inch self tapping screws and screwd it to my floor in the trunk.

which kit? the cooling mist kit you can run what ever you want threw it.

testing the temp drop- i have a auto x ray, but i just have to get some time to use it.

in some of the higher kits on cooling mist they provide a intake temp guage, very useful

how do you know when you're spraying too much water?

How do you know what amount of water you need? I want to do it on my 02 Z even if it's N/A but I need to know how much water I have to throw in the engine. I will have a WOT switch. I got the pump for free and hose is cheaper. I just need to know what amount of water I need to spray. Or like witch size injector could I use.

I'd also like to see some pics. I'll be installing mine soon and I think I want to mount the tank/pump in the trunk.

most of my setup is hidden so it would be alot of work for me to get pics, i have the tank down in the fender well and the pump in the fenderwell also

ok, so the coolingmist kit is good for 8psi on stock internals with stock fuel system? or would i NEED bigger injectors, fuel pump stuff like that. meaning do i absolutely need it? eh, its 430am and i like to think out loud lol. im just going to get the pulleyboys system with an extra pulley so that i can change it if i want to, ie the 2.7 and 2.6 inch pulleys, just keep the 2.7 one on till i go to the track or until i get more fuel mods if i need to. lemme know, and thanks again guys
