At 35K on the unit I had the idler bearing go out, the snap ring inside the hub broke and the bearing turned inside the hub itself, it made a clicking/ rattling noise that resonated inside the blower, made it sound as if the rotors were hitting each other. GM wants 200$ for the whole unit.

I ended up replacing the hub and bearing assembly with just a bearing, it has the same ID as the stock bearing, and 2\10 of a inch larger OD, however it is 1\10 of a inch narrower than the belt.

This has been on for 4-6K miles and it works fine, also with a 2.7inch pulley and a stock belt, I have no slip.

Also I changed the oil in it every 10-15K

I’m happy with it.
