Oil Pressure Gauge/Feed/Sensor (What Fittings?)
Tuesday, July 19, 2005 8:44 AM
Alright so I was wondering if anyone knew the combination of fittings needed to get oil pressure gauge, feed line, as well as stock oil p[ressure sesnsor all hooked up. Right now, I am tapping my feed line rigrht where the oil pressure sesnsor used to be. I was wondering if anyone knoew what size fittings I would need to run my feed line, stock sensor, and oil pressure gauge sending unit. I know it's going to be a combination of two or three. Thanks guys.

Yeah.... I had a mechanical one and it started leakin on my dash.. not cool!! I have a T on where the stock one goes... One line goes to the turbo (as an oil feed line), and the other part of the T goes to my electric sending unit for the oil pressure gauge. Its pointless to have the stock one hooked up if you have a gauge... the stock sending unit only sends a signal to the dash if it goes BELOW pressure. So if the stock harness is unplugged it won't even know... because under normal conditions nothing is going thru that harness... signal only gets sent when its in a bad condition. I know I said it twice. Oh well. Autometer electric oil pressure gauge can be picked up for 40-50.

get yourself a 1/4 npt T.You may need to extend the T out about 1 inch too.
