Ignition or fuel problem?
Thursday, July 14, 2005 6:11 AM
I went to the track last night after a week of driving on the turbo setup (2.2l) and the car cuts out in the high rpm's. The car was running really good ,but now it runs rough at any constant throttle. I changed the plugs (denso .030) and still the same. when it cuts out the car still runs but it is at vacume and reads rich on the a/f (not a wideband). Gonna put some coils and wires in today but any help would be greatly appreciated. And if u were wondering 16.2 at 89mph 1/4 mile with it shutting down.

I talked myselfe into changing the fuel pump insted but it did nothing. the thing is with the car cold it will pull all the way to rev limiter with no problem but after warming up it cuts out. Just seeing if maybe because its going into closed loop and im fighting the computer somehow . I also tried disconecting the map sensor and the o2 sensor at different times but that diddnt help either. Thanks.
