watchu runnin on dem chajah plugs (gap)
Monday, July 11, 2005 10:01 AM
So I plan on using the stock pulley for a while, and I heard that people are gapping their plugs on the supercharger kit (2.4) a little smaller than what it says in the instructions. whats everyone running them at and for any particular reasons? thanks peeps.

running a colder plug than stock would require a smaller so you get the best fire out of the plug is my thoughts

You can try the recomended gap..... but most suffer from the 'random missfire' code...... and gap them lower.

I ran a set of NGK Iridiums this last weekend....... not one problem with them..... and thier 4 steps colder.......

0.050 here
I have had my charger since 8/2004 and till today I have only had 2 misfires while getting into the hw at wot.
About a month ago I put in the RKS boots so the spark will be greater. Still every thing is running fine.

Any particular reason? Was it misfiring at .050?

I'm also running .050 as the manual wrote and haven't had any issues with misfiring that I know of. If it just misfires every now and then, is it noticable? Does it throw a code or something? CEL?

A little off topic, but are the NGK TR6's that people are using the ones for made for the LS1 engine or something else?
