I am going to install a custom turbo kit and i was wondering if i get the reflash first will my car still run right before i install the turbo? I have done a search and heard it go both ways. Please tell me your experiences.

Wrong, wrong.... Poorly misinformed...
If he has the recommended 310cc injectors, and 2 bar map, it will run fine as if he had the charger in there.
Regardless, the reflash is intended to run the car on or off boost, it will NOT matter if its boosted or not.
Get it reflashed and run it till whenever you get the charger.
Once you get the charger put it on and drive, just one less thing you have to worry about later.

Jeff

Don't know how you can call me "poorly misinformed". I can't assume he IS going to use the map and injectors any more than you can, so my information is dead on for using ONLY the reflash, and nothing else.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Yep don't listen to me...
I have only been running the reflash for a year and a half now...

I will be running the flash, 310 cc injectors and the 2 bar map.
In that case, read what I wrote.
You will not have any problems.
Good luck!

if the cobalt 2 bar map sensor is calibrated to operate at 0-5v it will work just fine.

Your car will run fine with JUST the reflash. It will want to stall and run rich though. I just went through this a week and a half ago. The only thing other than that was my TRAC OFF light came on. but this is also a 00 grand am LD9 sooooooooo......

Wrong.
The reflash is calibrated to a 2 bar map sensor.
It will NOT run right with the stock 1 bar or 3 bar sensor in there.
I have tried it first hand.
"It will want to stall and run rich though" is totally contradicting your initial statement.
If you think that is running "fine" then wow...
DC, get the 2 bar map and 310cc injectors, install them right after the reflash or just prior to the reflash.
Your car will run fine with those installed and with the reflash. Plain and simple to the point.....
I do not understand where others are getting their information, and this is why I do not post on here much anymore. I speak from personal experience and still people second guess my opinion like I have no idea what I am talking about...
Anyways, good luck which ever route you go...

I threw the cobalt sensor in just for the hell of it and it ran fine with the stock injectors and stock computer. Does this mean that it will not work with the reflash?
the gm 2bar is at 2.5volts at zero vacuum/boost. on the other hand the 1bar map is at 5 volts at zero vacuum/boost
if that cobalt is only showing the stock ecm 2.5 volts and you are running WOT, you are going to be running dangerously lean. regardless if you have no boost right now.

But when it was in the car ran like normal. would it run normal with a 2 bar in it?

My point was that it will run "fine" enough to drive it where you need to go to. I know this from first hand experience because I drove 10 miles from the dealer after reflashing my "stock" car. I didn't say it will run perfectly, but it will be fine to drive it to install your supercharger.
