I'm guessing 270 WHP.
Otherwise you'll need some new vinyl.
the W41 trans ive got is the same or close to the same 1 and 2nd gears , but has a different 3 and 5th gear
the HO version had the regular gearing
and there is no equal length half shafts , just the bearing plate that holds the outer side of the axle
keep in mind my W41 trans is in my 92 SCX , not my cav
and isnt the MK7 the 2.2 isuzu trans code ? cause that is the way i see them listed on ebay
and im with WW 270'ish
150 tops...fricken ghetto setup
I'm guess a loud KABOOM is well on it's way to you pretty soon.

Yeah I'm afraid of that too... which is why when it dynotunes I'm turning the boost down to about 255 whp.
But hey - it has held for about 3000 miles now. Hasn't knocked once, hasn't shown any signs....
Remember I have a big turbo, that power comes on gradually... it doesn't just suddenly boost up to 14psi at 1800 rpm
Either way... we'll see!
As for the equal length... IMO it's more equal length because of the jack shaft... it at least has less torque steer and a thicker axle to work with... but you're right they're still not "equal length" axles.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
I looked in you registry and you have listed a modified 180 stat. How did you modify it?
FU Tuning
so what blew on MK7 #5?
did you try sourcing out stronger diff gears from earlier impulse transmissions?
I'm just curious as to why you're turfing it, other then the diff.

260 whp + yellow stickers = 350 whp
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
He ditched the tr4anny cuz its garbage. The Isuzu's are known for being trash. This one he blew 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and reverse in. Plus there is a nice big hole in the case!!
Oh, and Im guessing 96 hp at the crank. I've been in your car Chris, its damn slow!
So the T550 bolts right up w/o an adapter plate? What about the hubs? Do the splines match the new shafts or do you need to upgrade the hubs too? If my cryotreated tranny goes on me, that will be a serious consideration for me. Does my Getrag bolt up the same as the Isuzu? Thanks for any info.

I smell something burning...
Check those new axles of yours...... I belive thier going to be short. At least our GTZ axles were..... about 3/4" on both of them. The 95 J's also used the 'jack shaft' on the passenger side...... they should work, if you find yours are too short....... autozone, advance auto, and pep boys all carry the 97+ style though......

All Quad 4/Twin Cams share the same bellhousing pattern..... it will bolt up. You will need to make/modify your mounts for the trans to bolt to the car though, and also change your shifter and cables. As far as I have seen, all the axles for the Quad trannies interchange (except for the older ones being shorter then the 3rd Gen Js) Also, the older Quad trannies used the same style flywheel as the 00+ getrag.... so a 00+ clutch and flywheel will work (although I have also always been told the 95-99 clutch/flywheel will also work with either)
IMO, the 00+ getrag trans is a better way to go........

With 12lbs of boost, your bottom end is shot up like biggie smalls, on the dyno it will pop.
i'm thinking if theres no tuning in the next week kaboom if it makes it to the dyno then 260ish whp then kaboom later. unless u turn the boost down.

so I saw your car at the jco bash it was balls out
but I do have to interject something. you would need a intercooler that was over 150% efficient to get more than 10 hp per lb of boost
but thats just what the caculation's say. I would say that at sea level on a 80deg day you would be able to make 9 hp per lb of boost
horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, Torque is how far you push the wall with you
