Its so funny, people are so confused when they see a turboed cavalier rolling around running open dump. Whistling like hell whereever I go. I just like how unique it is. I mean i'm sure people rarely ever see a turbo cavalier, so tell me your stories and about the looks you get because I know I get them

People are usually surprised by my car after we race.
Whenever I open my hood, someone usually says, "daamn yo, that is a mad big turbo".

So I'm driving down the road the other day just sitting in and around 3 PSI....... just crusin... you know ...... anyways I'm going down the street and I look at the on comming traffic and I see this light blue Brand new M3 with this older guy driving it. Looking at my turboed Cavalier with his jaw on the floor...........
so I let off the gas....... TSTSTSTSTSTSTTSTTSTS (sequenial)........... I passed by him and as I looked into my rear view mirror all I saw was him hanging out of the convertible looking back at my cavalier..... FROM INSIDE A BMW M3 hahahahahahah

Gotta love boost.

I pull my car into the local hang out spot for the first time this year and as I roll in I stomp on it and break my tires loose for the heck of it from a roll. The sound my car makes is pretty extreme. I pull up and all the people from the evo group and srt 4 group come over and start asking how much boost i am running expecting to hear 15 + psi. They can't beleave how loud my turbo is and its only on 6 or 7 psi at the time. Also running 100 octane makes your car emit a wonderfull high octane smell . This makes people get scared of your car very quickly . When you roll past the muscle car group they give you a thumbs up or say nice car bro. That makes you feel respected. If someone hanging out there starts talking crap then people quiclky tell the moron that my car is no joke and if you seen it run you would not be saying much after. But you still get the occasional jerkoff that insist that a cavalier can't be fast no matter what. lol for them I don't waste my time explaining anything about the car. I have been close to getting in a fight a couple of times because they would not stfu. There are alot of rich kids that have nice cars but it doesn't matter because none of it is from their own blood sweat and tears. That is what I cannot stand is the ricers or muscle heads that don't show any respect at all. .

Couldn't have said it better. Everything you said. When I pull into the local spot, parking lots full of 100 or more kids, usuaully about 10 or so will shift over to my car and ask "what you got in there". It literally sounds like a mack truck with the open downpipe. I will get a little video clip for you guys tomorrow. The thing that sucks is that I can't really romp anyone yet because it's not tuned

oh the looks i get, almost every car that i race, that thinks they would normally just demolish a cavalier tells me how much they like it. Just 2 days ago i raced a V8 trans am, afterwards they pulled of next to me and told me my car was "Badass". So many people tell me how much they love the sound of my car. The Ld9 and GM charger just make such a sweet sound. I really like the attention the car gets whenever i pop the hood or take it into a dealership or something. Every mechanic in there wants to know about it.

All in all i get alot of positive attention from my car.

I get the people laughing at me in the integra's and asking what my gauges are so i tell them " volts, water, and oil pressure" and they usually have their girl friends int he passenger seat and they act all tuff and say lets race....then when i take off all you hear is the screaming of the supercharger and the next set of lights they got this face like and i kind of look over at them and laugh a bit... best was when i raced my buddy in his 2002 Mustang GT and beet him... ahah the looks i got were very confused as to why a 4cyl. sunfire is beating a V8 mustang.

I really don't race anyone since I'm still trying to get my fuel problems under control.

I have gave some people night run's when I hit 7psi they really like it.

Their is this loud mouth arab kid running his mouth off telling everyone my car is fast.
I don't say else. I guess it's different when you sit out with people with supercharged 5.0's and cobra's, and kids that their mom and dad have way too much money.
When their is a kid that has 20k into a evo engine it's fast(almost hop's inbetween shift's)

But I pull into the local hang out with my blitz kit with the intercooler hanging out and they look and go wow.

thats mostly the reponse i get.. then when i win, they just stop talking a disapear. kinda funny how that is. iv only had a few people actually be cool about it.

going through newtown the one day i was making a left and a RSX type S was turning my way, Mid turn he stopped in the middle of the road and stared at my huge front mount.... just sat their with a green light and all. His face was priceless, so confused...... can't wait for my car to get back together!!

you don't gotta tell me my rsm supercharger with the blow off valve... none stop people are like wtf....... on long island as far as i know there are only three boosted cavs one that kicked my a$$ on 495 about two months ago and my friend with the gm charger on his z24

i agree with all the stories here. Also, my car looks sorta like a 2.2.

damn you guys are driving me f-ing crazy... i cannot wait to finish my hahn stage II install... just need to finish the fuel pump wiring and the oil drain line.

The looks i get when the BOV goes off are only half as good as the looks I get when this big turbo spools. It sounds like a bus.

The best thing in the world is rolling beside a nice car (porsche, M3, whatever) and not being in boost..... no turbo sounds, nothing... the car is just there...

And then the driver looks over and reads my door... "Sweetness: 300 Horsepower"

It usually only takes a half second for them to downshift and try to show me who's boss... little do they know I'm already loaded up at 3000 rpm on the verge of boost.... *grins*

I got to watch a Porsche 911 turbo driver beat the living crap out of his steering wheel as I slowly pulled away from him...

And that was with no clutch or tuning.

I was running 14psi that night btw.

Boost - when the car is running - is the best toy you can put on a car. But boy does it come with heartache.
