Hey guys, I found a 95 2.3L cavy I may purchase, and I was wondering if there are very many aftermarket boost parts for this car? Ive looked around but cant find any COMPLETE turbo or supercharger kits for this motor. Would it be more beneficial to go with the 2.4L instead?

I know this 2.3 has what, 180hp?. Thats a good starting point I would say. But I wanna boost this car..

The 2.3 found in the 95 Cav is a 150hp motor. The HO was the 180hp motor, and the W41 had 190 I think.

There are people who put the GM charger on the 2.3, and the turbo setup would be almost exactly the same as the 2.4 except the cold pipe where it connects to the manifold, and the exhaust manifold is a bit different.

150 HP... Gotcha.. I just got done looking on various sites for a header,, umm yeah cant find one of those for this 2.3 either lol..

One last question, Is there another charger besides the gm 2.4 one that is available for the 2.3 engine?

I don't think so, you could do a 2.4 IM conversion and use the RSM one I think...

if you want a HO motor for that car i have one. also there are a bunch of aftermarket parts still floating around for the quad4 but they are not the easiest to find. what i would do is build your own kit. also the m45 blower is NOT big enough for the quad4. it flows way too much air for that little of a blower. turbo is your best bet. if you have questions head over to the quad4forums for some answers.. good luck
