I am going to run the msd dis 2 programable ignition on my 2.4 turbo. I have searched and everyone is using the msd interface module. But that only hooks up to the 2.2L icm. What ALL do I need to connect the msd dis2 programable and the 2 blaster coils to my 2.4L igniton control module? Thanks.
Or does it just get hard wired into the old icm wires? For instance cut the stock icm off at the connector and just connect the dis 2 to those wires?
you can do either aftermarket coils or the msd coils, the msd programmable is a stronger spark than even the dis2 HO so I wouldnt use stock coils with that , the coil interface modules are not just for the 2.2

So do I still use the oem ignition control module? And how does the msd dis 2 get its reference signal? Does it use the stock cam sensor. Please help me. Any info is good.
the msd needs not talk with the cam sensor
The msd goes between the ICM and the coils kinda like an amplifier, gets its signals from the ICM and strengthens them and sends it into the coils
