fuel pressure

I am building a 2.4 turbo to be dropped in my 96 Z24. My question is about the fuel pressure regulator. Should I buy the accel (from high rev) which is a direct replacement adjustable one for my stock one, or do I need to buy the vortech fmu, which adds more fuel pressure as the boost increases? Or both? Because the accel one has the vacuum line that goes to the manifold so wouldn't it realize there is pressure in the manifold so it would increase fuel pressure? Please help me. I will be using the in tank high flow fuel pump and 550cc injectors and a apexi safc. thanks.

I think you are confusing the function of FPR's and FMU's, you need both.

Ok...the vortech fmu says to be installed down stream of the fpr. How is that possible when the fpr is right on the end of the fuel rail.

You have to cut the fuel line, it doesn't get installed on the rail.

What shifted said....it gets spliced into the Return line...the line that comes out of your stock FPR that heads back to the gas tank...put it in between there somewhere =p
