O2 Simulator?????
Friday, June 10, 2005 9:35 PM
Hey guys i'm finally boosted and I have only one check engine light. Its the o2 sensor code. I cleared it with the code reader but im sure that is only a temporary soloution. Do you guys know where I could get a simulator or what I could do to make that go away. Thanks a bunch, and wow even 6 psi makes it go pretty damn fast

Summit sells them for like 45 bucks- but I don't think it will work on your 03.

The link posted above is for a camaro & firebird. Im not sure if that will even work.

yeah steve that is the only code so things are looking up for sure. Is there anything else I can do to make that stupid thing go away. Can I just bypass it some how. There has to be some way to wire it up I would imagine

It's called an O2 sim, unfortunately you're SOL on that one. Why not pick up a high flow OBD2 compatiable CAT, and be done with it? Magnaflow makes a nice one.

yeah that is probably my best bet, then the cops can't get anything on me too. Should I go 2.5 like the rest of my exhaust or should I go bigger?

I'd go with a 3" because isn't your downpipe 3"?

might make it cheaper to upgrade later!

how did autocross go?

we just welded a bung on the new exhaust, and slapped the O2 in...... no codes... but thats on a 98 Z24..... (custom header, no cat, 2.5" 'crushed bent power' exhaust, AutoZone Cherry bomb OEM look muffler)

I have a Casper O2 sim on my 2.4, works great (3rd ones the charm), but they just dont have EcoTec ones yet......

I did pretty good in the auto cross, I am so hooked. I definetly need some harder springs but I managed to beat atleast half of the cars out there and every subaru except one. Hey steve I think I am going to rebuild the downpipe on wednesday. Then I think I will crank up the boost a little bit and change the injectors. Do you think you can swing by after work? PS how did the cv change go?
