boost gauge hook up question??
Friday, June 10, 2005 10:17 AM
well I finally got my turbo just about finished it should be running this afternoon, my question is my kit is from cavalier connection and I was wondering where exactly do I put my boost/vacuum line at? all the "T"'s are used up and I'm sure I'm aware of buing what they call "X" so that way I can have an extra outlet for the boost gauge line so I can read boost. for now I don't have any fuel mods or anything like that I'm only running around 4-5 psi not much for right now I just want to get used to the fact I have this and play with it. anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance

**changes are here**

First of all dude Im running a fmu at like 6 psi and I am still on the lean side, like 15 on a wide band. Ive gotta install my bigger injectors tommorow, and for the boost gauge. There should be some nubbies on the intake manifold that you can plug it into and if there isn't you can drill and tap a hose adapter into the manifold. Just make sure it is sealed off very well or you will get a boost leak. Seriously dude your engine is not going to be able to handle boost on a stock fuel system

Brake-booster line vacuum line. It's probably the easiest way.

Actually thats probably the hardest way, that line is too huge for a vacuum tee. Just tee off the FPR line. Buy another T, they are only like $1.
