I must say i am
car pulls nicely.
One small thing though, from a accelerating from a dead stop and hitting the gas while under 1000rpms the car will hesitate as if its going to stall for a second but then it goes.
What seems to be the problem? I was thinking maybe i didnt get the plugs gapped correctly.
When you're under 1000 rpm's, boost or none, there's just no power being made. It takes a moment for there to be enough vacuum there to close the bypass valve and get the boost going. That's the lag you're feeling. Then the engine reads the boost from the MAP sensor and things start moving.
maybe gap the plugs down a little bit. Most people run ac delco rapid fire # 5's gapped at/ around .030 ish
the part # for them is here somewhere in the boost section.
glad you are happy
mine are gapped at the recommended .050
so maybe this is normal then.
same exact thing happens to my car but it is not that big of a deal. My rapid fire # 5s are gapped at .032.

Interesting. So the recommended gap is too big? What if you just take the plugs included with the kit and reduce the gap? What's the effect?
how'd you get your flash done? dealership? Every dealership down here, whenever I give them that recalibration number 88something... they can't do it, nor can they find the program that goes with it... is there some tech line to call or what?
-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party
I would be interested in the effect of the small gapping in the spark plugs for SC kit. What will be the effect of this? I really will like to know.

ELIOT. Now.....boosted.
mine does that too.. also if you get a Check engine light some people will tell you to regap your spark plugs... i just left it in and after about a week and a half the light just went off...
Supercharged 2.4L
My dealership had no problems, took about an hour.
Also after driving the car for a while and going to work and back the hesitating has seemed to just stop. Hmmm alright whatever cool.
So whats the deal with the plugs? Should the ones from the kit at .050 be alright or the other plugs that a few of you mentioned?
It should be, unless you run more boost, or have miss-fire problems...... then lower your gap....

Are you giving them the part number and telling them it's the calibration code?
The stumbling-almost stalling problem sounds very similar to a problem I had. It turned out to be a bad connection at the MAP sensor. If it happens again, wiggle the wires at the connector to the MAP and see if anything changes.
