GM Supercharger, and Inspection? Engine Codes?
Wednesday, June 08, 2005 8:44 AM
Wondering if I get an 02 simulator, cartech FMU, GM SC, Adj FPR and SAFC 2 for my 98 cavalier if I will get check engine lights when I do the Supercharger? Also what about passing inspection?

Any input on this, ahvent seen anything in the forum about it.

emissions+ obd-II + CEL's = fail, no matter how clean the tail pipe is, find a way to make the light go away, and you will pass. all thay do i plug in and scan for codes of codes pending.

depending on how quickly the codes show up you might be able to clear them just before you go in then get your inspection before they get pending again

You cant clear clear the code right before you get your car inspected because it will fail. The inspection machine checks for obd readiness codes. If you clear the light right before you get it inspected,it will say not ready. You have to drive the car for couple of days,or take a long road trip for the readiness codes to set.
