Just wondering what the main difference is betweenn the two computers, why cant the 96-99 be reflashed. Also, what if i geta 2000 computer for my 99, will it just plug in, or what would have to be done?

To swap a 99 pcm to a 2000 you'd have to change:
PCM
ADD the BCM
All wiring in the car
Cluster
Fuel Sending Unit
I wouldn't be suprised if I forgot something. It's EXTENSIVE.
