Anyone got any thoughts on this setup? I can get a siccccckkkk deal on these. I know they have quite a bit of duration, espeically on the exhaust side so I dunno how well they would worth with boost. Its a little more then the secret cams iirc
its 208 @ 375, while the secret is 200 @ 360.
Any input is appreciated
I thought some one said they make them for supercharged cars... or they can if you just tell them they are for the 2.4L with the GM s/c
Well I wasn't going to be pickin them up through jbp directly.
I know someone that has the stage1's right now on his n/a 2.4 and is trading his car in...
go for it.
i got the secert cams in B4 i was s/c'd and they are the shiznit.
let that car breathe my boosted friend.
I thought usually stage 1 cams on most cars work well with boost....

with boost you want high lift, short duration. those are longer duration cam profiles, hence the term N/A cams for naturally aspirated setups. correct me if i am wrong, but there are FI cams for a reason....
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I agree with you hence why I was asking
I know these have a bit of duration to them, but its not TERRIBLY far off from the secret cam specs.... which most people say works well with boost

You're wrong. You're thinking more along the lines of turbo cams. Turbochargers create a great deal of back pressure in the exhaust manifold which is exactly the reason longer duration can have a negative effect on a turbocharged motor. Too much exhaust back pressure plus too much cam overlap = exhaust gas that wants to flow back out of the intake rather than the tail pipe.
With a supercharged motor you don't have anywhere near the amount of back pressure in the exhaust manifold. I'd say a 208 lift / 375 duration cam will work fine on even a turbocharged motor. I'm using much hotter cams in my car...
