is the ACCEL adjustable fuel pressure regulator from High rev any good.

or if anyone knows of any other that come with a pressure gauge that would be great. i need to find one and order it for next week to get this damn turbo project done. Wat are some everyone else are running and was their any fitment issues cuz i see the space there is to work with.

I have the Accel 74565. Got it from Autozone ($100 + $5 in tax), and also picked up a 1.5" gauge to go in the rail for another $30 or so. So far they work great.
I don't know of too many AFPR's that have gauges on them, since there would need to be a bit of room there and there really isn't.

shifted-the one you got at autozone was that for your car? and the gauge you bought was what? is it autometer and does it go in a pod in your car or under the hood like the one i showed above? also was there any fitment problems with the one from autozone?

Listening......fuel is a pain in the @ss
Accell FPR from Autozone bolted right in. The O ring was a bit tricky, but the key is to put the o-ring in the bottom of the FPR , then push the fuel line in really hard to get it to pop in. Other than that it was a bolt on.
The gauge is one that gets tapped into the rail, here's a pic:
(Not very good, but you get the idea, this was during the FPR and FMU install)
Yes, its the Autometer one

ok also shifted or anyone...will i be ok with the afpr and the safc-2 or should i get an FMU also? but my real question is will i be ok with just the 2 things (afpr safc2)

i was told that you need a FMU and a SAFC to work hand and hand with boosted applications. AFPR is just to lower fuel pressure to compensate for the bigger injectors..thats all that does. I would get a FMU with your SAFC...others might tell you different.
You could use a FMU alone with bigger injectors but i dont think a safc alone can compensate enough fuel like a FMU can with PSI:boost. SAFC helps regulate idle problems and fine tunes your fuel curve in between 200-500 RPM incriments <sp>.
are you 100% sure because i have heard that you need the AFPR and the safc-2 not all three but if you want to run all 3 u can but you dont have to. i just need to kno if ill be fine with the afpr and safc-2 under 8psi. and im having no luck finding a freakin AFPR for my car...

What he said is correct. You need a FMU more than any of those to increase fuel under boost. The SAFC will allow you to do a finer tune on your fuel. The AFPR will allow you to lower fuel pressure at idle with bigger injectors.
I had the Accel AFPR, but it took a crap on me. Could not take the pressure of 80 + psi of fuel. I'm going to get the aeromotive one.
Right now I running just a FMU for fuel, but I have a rough idle with 370cc injectors. I plan to get a SAFC to fin tune my fuel in the upper RPM'S. I have been told you can use the SAFC to lower fuel at idle, but you have only soo many RPM settings to use on the SAFC, so I would save those for boost.

but shifted- is this it because it says vette or camaro and NO gague port. so you just tapped into ur fuel rail for that right?
Thats right...it should say vette or LT1 or something along the lines of that...you should be able to look at your car s stock one and see if its gonna work just by eye-ing it up. As far as a fuel pressure guage your gonna have to tap your rail..thats sorta a DIY project unless you buy a whole rail already pre-tapped for it with one on it already =)
Good luck.
ok then wat aeromotive afpr should i get then cuz i saw there was a few...wats the ones everyone is using then or going to use

What about the RKSport Fuel Pressure Riser? That is like a afpr/fmu I believe.

I do not have the part number on me at the moment. A few people on here are using it.

That is a ok AFPR, I just do not like it because it is not a direct bolt in. You have to hack the fuel lines etc... It is not a FMU.

aeromotive 13107
for fuel pressure i put it on a brass t fitting in the fuel line, saved tapping the rail
14.82 @ 97 mph
when you say saved tapping the reail by doing the t fitting what do you mean the t fitting allowed you to do the hook up for the gague there? thanx by the way thats a big help. also where did you order it from, how much(if you dont mind me asking) and how hard is it to hook on any fitment issues?

ordered it at the local speed shop in my city. i think the aeromotive is a lil more expensive, $150 cdn
as far as i know it's a direct replacement on the stock fuel rail. havent installed it yet.
i put a t fitting on the fuel line rather than the rail for my gauge. i think it was a 3/8th's compression fitting on either end, and then a brass tee.
14.82 @ 97 mph
ok and im on summit and i see it its 154..but comes with no fittings was urs with no fittings too? and what did you do in that situation?

aeromotive 13107
I beleive he wants the 13106...i could be wrong but only going by my experience i have with buying the accel one...i bought the wrong accel one becuase the bracket was on the wrong side for my ecotec...i bought the exact same one but the bracket was on the opposite side...now, looking at the aeromotive one..the 13106 has the bracket on the same side as the accel 74565 with the medal fuel line that connects to it in the rear...the 13107 lookes like the one that would work for my ecotec...you might wanna double check that and compare the accel 74565 with the 13106 and 107 models to confirm fitting. Pay attention to the metal braket that bolts it onto the rail.
ok everyone i got my aeromotive afpr, and it doesnt fit. theres not enough room wou now i have to some how rig this to work. just a heads up for the people looking to us an aeromotive 13106 you need a lot of modifying to get this to work. so far had to modify everything that went into my car and its starting to piss me off. but thats what happens when u do it correct i guess.
