codes being thrown with boost
Saturday, May 28, 2005 10:59 PM
Hey guys, I'm looking for some help again. I have a 2.4 5 speed grand am that has been turbo'd and intercooled. Its running the greddy e-manage (though I don't know what settings because I need to buy the software to hook up my laptop).

ANYWAYS... I noticed that when I turn on the car the check engine light doesnt come on right away (like it did in my last grand am). So I figured I'd go get the codes read... well sure enough theres three codes.

107 - MAP sensor low input

335 - Crank position sensor circuit A malfunction

401 - EGR flow insufficient

So I know the MAP sensor should have a check valve on it... or so I've seen. The e-manage DOES have the pressure sensor hooked up and I thought that would eliminate this problem.

The crank sensor and EGR I have no idea... where does the EGR piping get routed? Is it hooked up to the stock exhaust manifold? Sorry for being a newbie here... I didn't install this setup so I'm sure I'd know whats up if I did. Isn't there someway to not use the EGR anyways? Like a block off plate and a plug in... I thought I heard something.

Thanks in advance
-Bob
