absolute cheapest 2.2 turbo manifold (not a ?)

I haven't seen anyone do one of these for a while, but here it is:
go to a junkyard and find an old 2.2 (early 90s I guess), there are a million
it will have an exhaust manifold that looks like a 'T'...pull it off and buy it (I paid $10)
take it home and cut off the downpipe section so there is an O in the bottom of the manifold, and it now looks like a '--'
cut out a piece of steel to patch up the hole, and weld it over the hole
next, get a ~2" length of rectangular tube with a decent wall and notch the sides so that it will sit on the front (side facing you when it's mounted and you're at the front of the car) of the manifold
weld it on the manifold between where the 3rd and 4th cylinder exhaust ports
cut out the manifold inside of the piece you just added
weld T3 flange on top of the piece you just added
and presto, super cheap turbo log manifold
*if using something other than a T3 or T4 turbine housing, you may want to use round tube instead of rectangular
*if you can't weld it yourself, have someone else do it, it probably won't cost more than $100
I have a picture of mine in my profile that should give a decent image of what I'm talking about

Yeah, I was just thinking about how I haven't seen a new one in recent years.
...and everyone's always complaining about parts being too expensive...

i'm starting to think its not so much the parts being expensive, its the lack of effort willing to be given

check that out in the top right corner there.

thats exactly what you described.. (I think)

I'll be getting a manifold made for me, but not yet.

Its a start.
