I just installed my stage 2 kit from hahn. And my car is Chugging and going super rich at start-up and under boost.
The Instructions call for a 85-90psi fuel pressure on boost load and a 35psi idle pressure. Both of those numbers seem way to high for me.
What do other people with this kit run for fuel pressure??
Thanks, My car is sitting in my driveway till this is fixed. Too bad Hahn Tech support is closed now.
ok, i had the same problem with my kit. Email me and i'll call you and talk it over with you. took care of it like nothing else. smittylopez@aol.com
do not run vacuum to the afpr they supply , hook it to the hose on the turbo that goes to the waste gate
my friends i think we had down to 30 psi , at idle and in the 85-95 range under boost
he is still a little rich , but its not as bad when we first started
are you running a wideband o2 ??
i run 35 at idle and 87-92 under boost. was leaning out for the longest time....but i figured out why
justin...if your on AIM sometime hit me up. id like to hear how you solve your issue and compare it to my way. thanks.

Nope, I have a o2 sensor gauge. And I know what your gonna say, but it is still somewhat accurate.
I swapped out the stage 2 regulator re-cal kit with my stage 1 unit, and now the car runs okay. Its just a bitch to start and bogs a bit (due to rich condition). With the stage 2 regulator mod, it was chugging, bogging and smoking like crazy. I'm calling Hahn on Tuesday to check the numbers, they don't seem right to me.
Thanks for all the help and comments guys...keep em' coming
the numbers are fine....i took advantage of being close to hahn and had them check my car out after i installed my kit. one of the major reasons is because i felt the numbers to be too high as well. once you get it going youll understand that you need all that flow to add the required fuel. especially at the 12PSI i hit today by "accident"

I'd also like to know what you come up with for numbers.
hahn said to put the fpr hose between the turbo and wastegate.
it needs to go onto the intake manifold. make sure the fpr hose has a checkvalve on it so it ONLY SEES BOOST. and then tune it to 35 psi at idle fuel pressure.

well if you put it between the turbo and wastegate it will only see boost...obviously. why add another part to break (checkvalve). whats the point of putting it to the IM if you only want it to see boost?

i have never seen a check valve break. but when i had it between the turbo and wastegate, i only saw maybe 75psi of fuel pressure. when i put it at the IM it would go as high as 110 (if i wanted it to). and when i had tried the boost gauge between the turbo and wastgate, there was a 3 psi difference in boost vs. the IM. im not sure why that is but it happened. but i havent had any probs since then.

id assume the reason for the gauge difference is because the pressure is higher coming out of the turbo so it will be xxx pressure at the motor. maybe....?
ill have to try changing mine around and see if i can get a little more fuel into her. maybe ill try that tonight actually.
