I post here, and not in the general forum...because I just dont get it.
Are you guys seriously loaded? Or are you guys putting your stuff on credit cards? I mean I dont get it.
I make good money, and after rent, car payment, insurance and bills...........I dont have @!#$ left over enough to say drop on a turbo kit.

easy...most people are either living with parents...parents bought them the car...parents pay everything for them...or live with rich parents who buy everything....
But then again u do get people who work there asses off
wow, that guy ^^^^ is gonna get it in the butt with a sandpaper condom!
watch out now!
People work their asses off and save money. It's not like someone says overnight "I wanna build a turbo kit" and then orders "overnight parts from Japan"
I bought a nitrous kit and thought it was a pretty good purchase. Then I come on here and see guys (I assume younger than me) dropping 3K and not even thinking. A many time I have had the urge to buy a kit and then I realized that money could go somewhere else, or I didnt want the debt.

I bought the car with 90% of the mods on it and saved a butt load
Since I quit going to the bars regularly and spending easy $40-50 a night it's been easier to save money. Now if I could just quit smoking.
I don't think it's fair to say mommy and daddy bought most of the boosted mods here. Maybe some do and maybe some don't. I'd be willing to say most of the ppl here probably do live at home. Which even if it was an option I'd choose a less modified car than living at home. Which is exactly what I've been doing for the last 11 years.
i live at home still while going to college and working full time...save as much as i can to afford what i want to spend money on...g/f, car, food...yes they both come before food haha. just plan and save.
Go to college, get a degree, get the job pertaining to your degree, get paid, save your money, and lastly buy your stuff.
A simple equation that not all would like to do, but others have found other means of succeeding in their goal(s), work your a** off and save...............<------I did that for a while until I went to further the education.

Wow, who the @!#$ are you?
Most of the people here that have the built motors and monster turbo kits are well into their twenties and have a decent job
Im sorry you still live at home, and your mommy backed into you car this weekend
I have paid for my car since day one, paid insurance, paid gas, and paid for all my mods.
I duno, what your problem is, but you need to realize that most people in this forum (boost) aren't like you and your little friends
So what if you live with your parents and blow wads of cash on your car? yes im speaking for my self but i would like to know who gives you any right to judge. If you want to pay some body else's mortgage by living some ones base ment or living in a apartment so some Slum lord can get rich then knock your self out. why would you even be on a message board that dedicates it self to improving j bodies. Another thing if some ones mommy and daddy where rich would they dare let son or daughter drive a small GM car?probably not
when you drive older GM FWD cars like i do, mods can be pretty cheap. i have a 91 cav, 94 Z24, 93 achieva SCX, and an 87 sunbird with a motor swap.
i work a regular job, make ok money, but i own all my cars. money that would normally go toward car payments in my case go to mods. thats how it works. older cars are cheaper to insure also.
also, it costs alot of money to look good while going fast. just going fast isnt that expensive if you arent concerned with "image".

"What are we going to do tonight?"
"The same thing we do every night, try to make the SVC go faster!"
i live at home. but i also have 2 part time jobs. i get 26hrs a week at walgreens and 30 at a local performance shop. thats how i afford my stuff. granted i have some stuff on my credit card but its never more than i can pay off in a short amount of time. my mom buys me one thing a year and thats at christmas and its never more than $100. its her way of saying she approves of this addiction as opposed to some of the others i could have chosen.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

BWWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. lmao
most people arent in their teens on this site and have pretty good paying jobs, or own a company. otherwise if you are a teen like me, then it takes an assload of time for saving up, or just havin friends in the right places.

-theres some people on here near my age or older still living at home and taking out loans JUST to be boosted
-theres some that this is their main hobby, so after bills, and personal needs (food, hygeine, living expenses) their money goes to this.
-others piece it together over the months and years and slowly reach the goal.
-some are just really well off financially so they can do it, have decent paying jobs if not 2 jobs. working for what they get.
overall i will say this: its not hard to do, its all in what your priorities are. its easy to save up for something IF and WHEN you have a goal. but i always keep in mind, that cars are material. i didnt wanna be 23-25+ years old, living at home with parents. sure friends and girls may be impressed, but when you wanna bring someone over... the thought of "parents in the next room" didnt really appeal. cars are apart of my life, but not the only thing. too much more stuff to have fun with
Man thats flat out insulting.
Most of the people in J-Revolution
are people working their butts off doing
2 jobs and saving every penny they can to improve
their cars. Me myself i'm a 3rd Class Petty Officer
working a second job saving my money
bit by bit and getting what i want. What you need to do
is get off your a$$ get a job or a real job one or the other.
Save some money or just give up the idea of modding your
car. Why come on here and insult people who obviously work
hard and take pride in what they do.
This is a loser thread. It needs to be locked.
