turbo install with a body kit
Saturday, May 14, 2005 4:11 PM
i plan on doing the install for my hahn kit in the beginning of june, and i have a razzi kit on my sunfire. i know that for intercooler, piping, etc, i need to take off the front bumper. Can i just remove the stock one with the kit attached, or what? does anyone have experience with thiss issue?

From what I understand the Razzi is just a lip kit, so you could just take off the entire front bumper cover and everything will come off. Just my thoughts.

yeah those were my feelings as well. do you need to take off the side fenders as well for the install? because if you do, then i have some messing around to do with the side skirts of the kit.

i put my razzi kit on first before i bought my hahn stage2. i took off the front Razzi piece and i could get to it pretty well. the intercooler mounts to the factory radiator support bracket which really sucks cause mine broke. so i welded these brackets on the front of mine and mounted them to the steel bumper which did require removal.[IMG][/IMG]

The front bumper can be taked off on 03+ sunfires in like 30 min if you know where the bolts are Im not sure what your worried about? even if you do take the fenders off which you probably dont have to they are easy to take off a quick to do as well.

that is wierd. did you have the intercooler custom made to have both end tanks on the same side?

i guess there is a lot more room for piping on that side of the engine bay with the eco's... plus they are ass backwards.
