cuz everyone knows that eco>2.4 MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

also hypsy, you got and videos??
Re: Hahn install pictures

i will have a few videos from my next comp on may 29th. i have a actual video of my car on the dyno but no way to get it onto my computer.

the reason i was told (by a BIG person at Hahn ) that the 2.4L kit isnt gonna be released is that they didnt see the demand after GMs s/c fiasco and the auto trans torque converter kept slipping at anything other than full throttle or no throttle. and you can take that as fact because of who i got it from. Im sure that if enough demand was shown i might be able to help get that kit out of the closet

Looks very nice. How much do their kits run?

I should have some new pictures of our kits (along with the ecotecs) in just a few days.

Did you have to get rid of your cruise control box? I don't see it in any of your pictures . . . .

Also, does your down pipe connect to the stock cat back system / cat off the car or ?

Re: Hahn install pictures

i have the cruise control still. we had it removed for the install so that i could stop cutting my arm on it as i reached back and tighten the manifold bolts. same with the ECU. getting cut by that thing got old REAL fast.

the downpipe would connect to the stock exhaust system AFTER the cat if you reused it. we made a custom exhaust for mine though. as soon as the downpipe exits the subframe area it widens to 3in then goes into my 3in cat then down the channel and dumps out the side.

the install took 75-80 MAN hours. about 46-48 ACTUAL hours. i had a buddy (phkz24) helping me do the install. my boss did the exhaust work and helped on the base tune.

no major problems. just some minor fitment issues that could be do to variences in cars. thats how minor they were. getting the intake pipe in behind the brake system was probably the longest part of the install because its such a tight fit. the hardest part was wiring in the new fuel pump because i was still getting used to doing wiring. i think if i did it now after wiring in 4 gauges, a shift light, a CO2 system, and a boost controller it would be a cinch.

Look at his 60' time . . .

60' ... 2.241

I would say yes, he was having traction issues.

Re: Hahn install pictures

well i didnt know if it was due to tractoin, or if he was taking it easy rolling off the line, or if his clutch was slipping....
Re: Hahn install pictures

no slippage at all. i just cant get to 100% till after 60ft. if i go full bore off the line i either spin or hop, depending on the track im at. currently im having to launch at 1500RPM.

i have been able to hit a 2.1 60ft but only twice.

Yeah you run into issues with your
stock clutch slipping. An upgrade will
definitly be necessary eventually.

Re: Hahn install pictures
Sunday, May 15, 2005 12:20 PM
Yeah, I'd highly suggest upgrading your clutch.

Nice work though!
