small boost questions
Tuesday, May 03, 2005 7:45 AM
I'm going to be installing my kit sometime this month and I needed to know a few things. For the oil feed I know I can just tee of at the sensor at the top of the block but can I split it into three instead of two so I can run my Oil pressure gauge sending unit from there. Next I need to know what is the optimal location to get boost readings I need it for the boost gauge and the Emanage Pressure Sensor. If you guys could help me with this it would really help.

Yes you can put a 4 way on the oil sender. The "optimal" place to get a boost reading depends on what kind of gauge you have. If you have just a boost gauge, anywhere on the charge pipe works. If its a boost and vac gauge, then anywhere on the intake manifold, or from a vacuum port on the throttle body after the plate. The e-manage pressure sensor will need to see vacuum, so that needs to be on the intake manifold or on the throttle body after the plate.

Thanks for the info, could I tee off the vaccum on the TB so i can run both my Boost/vac gauge and emanage from the same area. I'm trying to keep things simple and clean.
