Oil feed line

Ok guys I tried to put my oil feed line on the block but when I took the plug out of the port the threads were audviously not the same as the special 12mm part I baught. It was a oil port though, Where can I find a port that can fit that autometer part that everyone talks about. I tried the port that is on the right side of the block. It was a hex wrench plug if that helps, Thanks.

assuming this is for your ecotec...you can goto this site and click the "Engine Block View w/specs" or the "Head View W / Specs" and look for any "M12x1.75" holes and thats where you can get your oil feed...you need adapter where i cant remeber where to get it from =( its a M12x1.75 threaded to accept a 1/8 NPT which you can find any AN fitting at 1/8th NPT..its common.

Easy hole to use is on the head assembly...goto that clicky and scroll down to the "cylinder Head view- Back" and port # 2. I used port #2 for my turbo feed..and port # 1 for my oil pressure guage (mechanicle) <sp>

Hope that helps+)

what is the difference between the M12X1 and the M12X1.75 is it the length of the fitting or are the threads different

i think its the length of the fitting...as you can see in the post i listed above there are links on the block and the head assemblys that show all the plugs where you can thread this adapter to. You can use any of the M12x1.75 port holes to thread that adapter into it for oil feed...to make it simple ..just used the head assembly port holes i used and you can call it a day. =) that fitting threaded right into it with no porblems.

The 1.75 is what is called the pitch, it has to do with the seperation of each of the threads. i think in mm. so, each thread is 1.75 mm apart.
