hey whats up guys?
For you guys with a vortech s/c,do you have a buildup of oil on the s/c inlet?Where my air filter attaches to the blower,i have a little puddle of oil.I called vortech, they said the oil seal is leaking, and i have to send it out to them. They wanna charge me $750 to replace the seal.I checked the return line, thats good.Im gonna check the feed line, maybe its too much oil pressure and it leaking by the seals.Does anyone else have this problem?I dont wanna spend close to $800 bucks to repair this thing. If i repair it,im probably gonna sell my kit.Id try and repair it my self, but i heard the seals are custom made for vortech, and cant be bought in stores.

i dont have the kit or kno nethin about it but is there anyone else around you that can do it. like a turbo shop or somethin (not like a pepboys an actual performance shop)
does your oil return line dip and come back up?? The vortech webpage says a low spot in the oil return line can blow the seals, it has to flow constantly downwards. I just installed my kit and havnt had any problems thankfully.

No problems with mine my engine oil pressure at wot is 120 psi + so if it is going to leak it should happen soon.I think Ben is right check your return line. How many miles do you have and what model of supercharger do you have V9 ?
Thats Him Officer The WICKED One.
I called 1 machine shop so far,but he doesnt know of any places that rebuild vortech's.My return line is fine,it goes straight down with no dips.I have the v9,it has like 20-25,000 miles on it.I read on alot of other boards about people having the same problem with there v9 blower.Im gonna start calling some more shops, hopefully i can find someone who can rebuild it.
